President of AESIEAP led an AESIEAP team to visit TNB, Malaysia

　On the afternoon of February 9, 2009, Mr. Edward Chen, President of AESIEAP, and his AESIEAP delegates visited Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB), Malaysia and were cordially welcomed by Dato’ Sri Che Khalib bin Mohamad Noh, President of TNB, Mr. IR. HJ. AZAMN MOHD, Chief Operating Officers/Executive Director, and Ms. ROSLINA BT ZAINAL, Vice President.

　Mr. Edward Chen invited Dato’ Sri Che Khalib bin Mohamad Noh to attend CEPSI 2010 and the 36th Council Meeting, and to recommend a senior TNB colleague to be a speaker in the Panel Session. Mr. Edward Chen also indicated that the Chairperson of the Technical Committee would chair the report session on the final study results of the 3 Working Groups at CEPSI 2010.

　Mr. Edward Chen and Dato’ Sri Che Khalib bin Mohamad Noh also shared their views on the issues of soaring energy prices, energy supply and demand, T&D line loss reduction and nuclear power development, etc. They both agreed that new strategies and technologies would be needed to cope with the issues of climate change and environmental protection in the future. Mr. Edward Chen expressed that these issues had been brought into the topics of CEPSI 2010.
