The Secretary General of AESIEAP paid visits to Singapore PowerGrid Group (SPPG), PT PLN, Indonesia and National Power Corporation (NPC) from May 20 to May 24, 2010 to promote CEPSI 2010

　Mr. Mark Chuang, Secretary General of AESIEAP, and his staff, Mr. Andrew Lee visited SP POWERGRID (SPPG) on the afternoon of May 20, 2010. They were welcomed by Mr. Sim Kwong Mian, Managing Director of SPPG, Mr. Jimmy Khoo, Deputy Managing Director, and Mr. Peter Leong, General Manager. On behalf of Mr. Edward Chen, President of AESIEAP, Mr. Mark Chuang invited Mr. Sim and SPPG colleagues to attend CEPSI 2010 and to recommend a senior officer to be a speaker at the Panel Session. Mr. Sim indicated that he would attend this grand event and nominated a high-level colleague from SPPG to be a speaker in the panel session.

　PT PLN is set to be the next host for AESIEAP activities for the term of 2011 and 2012. In order to exchanging the view for the program of handover process at CEPSI 2010, Mr. Mark Chuang and Mr. Andrew Lee paid a visit to PT PLN, Indonesia on the morning of May 21, 2010. They were welcomed by Mr. Dahlan Iskan, President Director of PT PLN, Mr. Nasri Sebayang, Director of Planning & Technology, and Mr. Ida Bagus G. Mardawa. P, Corporate Secretary. They also met with Mr. Andri Doni, Executive Director of MKI, Mr. Faiz Shahab, Director of Strategic Primary Energy of MKI, and Mr. Syaiful B. Ibrahim, Secretariat of MKI. Mr. Mark Chuang also invited President Dahlan Iskan to attend the grand event of CEPSI 2010 to be held this coming October and to nominate a senior colleague to join a panel session of CEPSI 2010 as a speaker. A positive response from Mr. Dahlan Iskan was appreciated. MKI was appointed to be the next organizer of CEPSI 2012. Mr. Mark Chuang and Mr. Andrew Lee paid a visit to MKI in the afternoon of May 21, 2010. They were warmly welcomed by Mr. Fahmi Mochtar, Chairman of MKI, Mr. Paul Ratumbanua, Executive Secretary, and Mr. Syaiful B. Ibrahim, Secretariat of MKI. Mr. Mark Chuang introduced the CEPSI 2010 program to Mr. Fahmi Mochtar and his MKI colleagues, and shared his experience of organizing the CEO Conference and CEPSI.

　After making visits to PT PLN and MKI, Mr. Mark Chuang and Mr. Andrew Lee continued their trip to visit National Power Corporation (NPC), Philippines. They were welcomed by Mr. Froilan A. Tampinco, ceso iv, President of NPC, Mr. Urbano C. Mendiola, Jr., Professional Electrical Engineer/OIC-Vice President/Corporate Planning of NPC, and Ms. Bernadette T. Rivero, Division Manager of Power Economics Department. Thereafter, they jointly met with other AESIEAP members in Philippines, including Mr. Nixon G. Hao, Vice President & Head of Energy Management Networks of MERALCO, Mr. Leonardo v. Mabale, Vice President & Head of Central Business Area of MERALCO, Mr. Tommy T. Valdez, Vice President of San Roque Power Corporation, and Mr. Akio Matsuzaki, Executive vice President Operation of TeaM energy.

　Mr. Mark Chuang invited Mr. Froilan A. Tampinco and all Philippino members to attend the 36th Council Meeting and CEPSI 2010. Mr. Tampinco, on behalf of all Philippino members, expressed that they will continuously support the activities of AESIEAP. Mr. Nixon G. Hao, Vice President of MERALCO, suggested that issues of public electricity utility management should be included among the topics discussed at CEPSI 2010. Mr. Mark Chuang appreciated his concern with the issue and promised to bring this issue back to the program committee for consideration.
