President of AESIEAP paid visits to State Grid Corporation of China (SGCC), China Southern Power Grid Company Limited (CSG), and EVN, Vietnam from March 1 to March 8, 2010.

　 In order to promote CEPSI 2010, Mr. Edward Chen, President of AESIEAP, visited AESIEAP members in China from March 1 to March 8, 2010. Mr. Edward Chen, accompanied by Mr. Mark Chuang, Secretary General of AESIAP, visited State Grid Corporation of China (SGCC). They were warmly welcomed by Mr. Liu Zhenya, President of State Grid Corporation of China (SGCC) and President of the China Electricity Council (CEC), Mr. Sun Yucai, Vice President of CEC, and Mr. Li Bin, Director General of International, CEC, as well as Mr. Cheng Lu, Assistant for CSG President, Mr. Zhu Guangcho, Director of Taiwan Affairs Office, and Ms. Cheng Mengrong, Deputy Director of Taiwan Affairs Office.

　Mr. Edward Chen invited Mr. Liu Zhenya and his colleagues to attend the 36th Council Meeting in Taipei during CEPSI 2010. Mr. Liu Zhenya proposed that AESIEAP could establish a system of formal technical cooperation and exchange between/among AESIEAP members in order to share experience on the issues of corporate strategy and development of power technologies. Mr. Edward Chen shared with his idea.

　Mr. Edward Chen and his assistant proceeded to pay a visit to China Southern Power Grid Co. Ltd. (CSG) in Guangzhou on March 5, 2010. They were hearted welcomed by Mr. Wang Jiuling, Director Vice President, Mr. Sun Shiqi, Director of Financial Department, Mr. Wu Baoying, Deputy Director of Planning & Development Department, Ms. Wang Lin, Deputy Director of International Cooperation Department, and Ms. Zhao Tingting, International Cooperation Department.

　Mr. Edward Chen invited Mr. Wang and his CSG colleagues to attend CEPSI 2010 this coming October. Mr. Wang expressed his apologies on behalf of Mr. Zhao Jianguo, Chairman of CSG, who could not receive the AESIEAP delegates because of his business trip. Mr. Wang committed to send CSG colleagues to join the upcoming CEPSI in Taipei.

　After his visit to AESIEAP members in China, Mr. Edward Chen along with Mr. Mark Chuang flew to Hanoi, Vietnam to visit EVN on March 9, 2010. Mr. Dinh Quang Tri, Vice President, and Mr. Tran Tuan Dzung, Director of International Relation Department, Dr. Nguyen Tuong Tan, Deputy of Generation Department and their EVN colleagues warmly received them.

　Mr. Edward Chen introduced the programs of CEPSI 2010 and invited Mr. Dinh Quang Tri and EVN colleagues to attend this grand AESIEAP event in Taipei in coming October. EVN joined AESIEAP as new council members in 2008. Mr. Dinh Quang Tri expressed his support to the AESIEAP activities.
